Kentucky Boxcar

The 40 et 8 car was given the the Kentucky Railway Museum in 1958. Between 1997 and 2001
the Nelson County Technical Vocational School located in Bardstown, Kentucky restored the car to its original state.
The plaques that are displayed on each side of the boxcar represent the Provinces of France.
On November 25, 2007,
The Kentucky Railway Museum, located in New Haven, Kentucky. (10 miles south of Bardstown, on 31 E)
The new pavilion was dedicated to house the 40/8 boxcar.
