FROM THE GRAND CORRESPONDANT
ATTENTION CORRESPONDANTS;
THIS IS THE TIME OF YEAR TO DOCUMENT THE GOOD WORKS OF YOUR VOITURE BY COMPLETING
THE PETITE COMMUNIQUE FORMS! Not wanting to take the time, or not understanding the forms, is not an excuse
for no report. Help is available, and I know of no one too busy to spend an hour or two.
This is also the time to complete your Certification of Officers and return to me. This is EXTREMELY important.
You will get a packet from me with this form plus several others for your attention. If you want a vote at
the Grand Promenade, complete the Certification of Delegates/Alternates Form. I have this form nearly filled
out for you. Just add names and mail back. If you want to recognize an outstanding Voyageur in your Voiture,
complete the Meritorious Form, There will also be a statement concerning your account with Voiture Nationale.
ATTENTION PROGRAM DIRECTEURS AND CHEMINOTS: Please contact the Correspondants and offer
assistance completing these forms. Working together, we can achieve 100 % compliance,
Thank you,
Roger Watson

Here it's April already and the snow is gone. HAY! But, as I write this letter, I look out the window
and it's snowing; thought it was going to warm-up, Correspondent Watson said something about the
Golden Age Games in last month's Bulletin. We need all the VOLUNTEER'S we can get! Grand Promenade
is going to be here before we know it. All the paperwork should be to the Directeurs by the last
of May. So, all of our Correspondant Locales need to get the paperwork to the right people so they
can fill it out and mail to their Directeur of their programs. Directeurs, remember it's your
responsibility to get paperwork to the National Directeur's so they have time to get it done before
Promenade Nationale in September.
Paternally yours;
Mike Worrel

Hey Spring has sprung! Time to get the golf clubs dusted off, the fishing poles oiled up, ane the hoe sharpened .
We are coming down to crunch time, we need to get our membership garden tilled, so we can plant our membership
seeds. I only wish it was that easy if so, I would have a 100 acre plot. Getting membership is like planting
a garden. You till the ground, "set the idea", plant the seed, "find a candidate", water it, buy him or her
a beer. Get them wrecked and just like the seed with your help, you can watch them grow into a pretty Tomato
or a hard working Voyageur.
It takes a good leader before you can have a good follower, the Good Veterans are out there. Invite them in
and watch our Beloved La Societe grow. If we work this garden hard enough we will grow to 100% for 2008.

CARVILLE STAR
Carville was first called U.S. Marine Hospital No. 66, it has been for more than 100 years an international
home for Hansen's Disease or commonly known as leprosy. It was opened in 1894 and still serves as home for
some patients. Caused by a bacterium, the infectious disease is treatabe due in part to research done at
Carville, but not completely understood, continues to afflict about 200 Americans each year and estimates
of 750,000 worldwide.
I have pins and urge you to subscribe to the STAR, it only costs $2.00 per year, you
receive two magazines per year.
